Value
Good value, can't complain. £5000 for a brand new car with 3 year warranty.
Costs
Average - good no real expense as yet, but exhausts can be a regular problem on early models.

On the road
Driving
It is excellent to drive, grips the road like few small cars in this class.
Performance
Adequate performance for a 1.3i. reaching 0-60mph in around 14secs, but feels a lot quicker and will go onto 104mph, at 70mph it feels fine and as if it has a lot more to give.

Living with it
Reliability
Been fine so far, no problems, shouldn't expect any either, my previous one was a 1996 and had for 5 years, no problems.
Image
Looking a little dated, and some say girly, but it doesn't have a bad image.
Comfort
Comfort isn't brilliant, seats can become a little hard and uncomfortable after half an hour+ in it, but fine for round town and the odd trip down the motorway.

Security and Service
Security
Security isn't very good at all, lacking in all the major security features of most small cars, and safety is an issue, 1 Airbag and only a meagre 3 star Euro NCAP Rating.
Service
Ford aren't very helpful, charges for every little thing, and the salesman are waiting at the door to tempt you into spending £20,000 on options.
