Economy
Value
Reasonable at the time, but then the new price came down!
Costs
Some parts extremely cheap (£16 each for front discs). Others expensive (£75 for an air idle valve). 49.2mpg not to be sniffed at, though.

On the road
Driving
Excellent round town and excellent on motorway. Suspension too hard for country roads.
Performance
Similar to the old Mini 1000 - quite gutless, but willing to cruise once there.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Always starts, always will. Peace of mind…
Image
Don't care.
Comfort
Suspension much harder than Fiesta owned prior, otherwise fine. Rear space limited for adults.

Security and Service
Security
No-one's tried to pinch it in 4 years.
Service
Even though highly priced when bought, a great deal for my 'old un' and quite a few 'freebies' thrown in.

Problems and Ownership
Problems
Engine
Usual Ford problem - engine started to 'drive itself' (why won't they admit to this). Air idle valve.
Other
Very little in 90,000 miles. New discs plus usual shoes & pads.
