Economy
Value
Competitively priced.
Costs
Part costs competitive. Insurance group 2. Servicing is straight foward and cost competitive.

On the road
Driving
Gearbox light and easy to use. Steering/grip/bodyroll good for a small car.
Performance
Engine could be better. Needs more punch that could be provided if they fitted the 1.25 16v engine. 40-44mpg mixed driving, 50+ motorway.

Living with it
Reliability
Generally good. 1 case of flat battery during the winter after 4 years.
Image
Good design that had no doubt influenced other car manufacturers.
Comfort
Seats are fairly comfortable. Legroom in the back is poor.
-
Security and Service
Security
Immobiliser.
Service
The car has been very reliable so far. However the servicing by the Ford garage wasn't of a particularly high standard and so it's worth seeking out a good independant.
