Ford Ka (2009 - 2016) 1.2 Metal (Start Stop) 3d Owner Review

So I bought this car as a cheap runaround second car. It is better than a bike because I live in a very hilly area so cycling wasn’t an option. I have previously owned BMW minis and now also drive a BMW X1 auto 4x4 so this little Ka is a bit different. Good points, looks good, smart upholstery and easy to park. Bad points the low profile alloys that are fitted give an unforgiving drive on potholed country roads and general lack of power means I am constantly shifting down gears and struggle to maintain speed on inclines. I don’t think I will venture on motorways with this one, there is quite loud road noise when I took it on dual carriageway at speed. I would think this car is great for younger drivers but for me having been used to a bit better it is a bit of a culture shock! But it does what I expected of it and is a cheap occasional runabout.
