Firstly the dealer was fantastic. There really was no pressure on the sale and I came away very satisfied with the whole process.
The car itself is wearing the mileage very well. I still need to get used to driving a diesel again and not a v6 Mondeo. The car is plenty powerful enough but I find getting used to diesel from v6 petrol hard, ie: pulling away from bends and roundabouts.
The car is spacious and great with the split rear boot. Correctly serviced I do expect to get a lot of mileage out of this and with a Euro 6 engine it is the cleaner diesel unit. It is a good all-rounder, happy to plug around the town and has now done a couple of medium-range runs back to my home town - two hours’ distance with no issues and in good comfort.
Having that little bit of extra height for visibility is fantastic and the vehicle, although feeling large, is easy to drive and feels safe. A good family choice.
How reliable do you find the car?
I picked the car up on Saturday and drove the 60-odd miles back home. No issues at all. However by Tuesday the radio system started to have a mind of its own and with no prompting would turn itself on, then off. This cycle continued all the time with no key nearby. I phoned the dealer and got the car back and he replaced the unit straight away. Also had a problem with smoke emitting through the air vents. This transpired to something lodging in the brake caliper which again the dealer drove down with a courtesy car and took the Kuga, fully checked the vehicle and found said stuck caliper. Nothing since.Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
I have always been used to larger Fords. Especially the Mondeo of which I am a firm fan. Had reservations of buying a Focus-based SUV but have been pleasantly surprised with the car. Nice spacious interior, pretty well put together.About their car
