Ford Mondeo Estate 1.8i LX 5d (96) (1997/P) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Very cheap to buy, cheap to run.

On the road
Driving
Superb handling but gutless and harsh 1.8 engine. To get this car to make reasonable progress, you have to work it hard. A massive step backwards from the Sierra twin cam engine.
Performance
1.8 wouldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding when fully loaded!

Living with it
Reliability
Never broken down, but usual Ford niggles.
Image
An estate in white is probably as bad as it gets!
Comfort
Pretty good overall, no complaints.
-
Security and Service
Security
it's not been nicked while I've had it, but then again it's a Mondeo estate!
Service
I don't use Ford Service.
