Ford Mondeo Estate 1.8 LX 5d (00) (2002/52) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Second-hand, this car is a snip for value. Could do with fog lights as standard on this model. The estate has acres of room and will carry just about anything requested of it.
Costs
36mpg and good value insurance help keep costs down. Servicing costs are, I believe, average.

On the road
Driving
Seats may be a bit hard for some, but are comfortable. Holds the road well and corners superbly.
Performance
Slowish to accelerate, but will cruise all day at motorway speeds and above.

Living with it
Reliability
So far in my 8 months of ownership, the car has been faultless.
Image
It is because of the rep image people bypass this car. They are missing a bargain.
Comfort
Very comfortable overall. Plenty of legroom in rear of car, even with front seats set furthest back.

Security and Service
Security
I'm told very good. But what is a top notch security system?
