Summary
What does this car say about you?
Practical
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They think the car is comfortable. The quick clear windscreen is excellent in the heavy frist and the heated seats are great in the winter. The cooling seats are great in the summer. Leather is hard wearing and easy to keep clean.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes. Met all my expectations.
What are you likely to buy next?
Either another Mondeo estate or maybe a Kia Sportage.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£4,650
When did you buy the car?
January 2010
Did you get a good deal and why?
I felt it was a reasonable deal. There were similar cars at the time more expensive but in slightly worse condition. The lifetime warranty is useful.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I needed an estate car which would be able to cope with high mileage and still be comfortable, economical and safe. . The ghia x has a lot of equipment which makes long miles easier to cope with.
What was the dealer like?
The dealer was friendly and accommodating. I was given the opportunity to test drive the car by myself for a few hours. I wasn't pressured into the purchase. They were happy to answer my questions and to negotiate on price and warranty etc.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Holds the road well. Firm but comfortable ride. Plenty of power even when fully loaded with passengers and luggage.
What's it like to park?
Ok to park. It is quite a big estate and unfortunately the rear parking sensors have stopped working so it's a bit more tricky to get the length right.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
The turbo blew at 140,000 mikes and cost £1500.00 I have AA breakdown insurance which paid out £500. I've also had to have the front suspension springs replaced. Maintenance servicing and parts are cheap enough and every garage can do Mondeos.
What's most practical about your car?
50+ mpg consistently so cheap to run. Servicing etc. is cheap as well. Good size and load carrying ability. Comfortable to drive.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Cruise control. I do a lot of motorway miles and this really helps me to be less tired.
