Economy
Value
Depreciates massively, but I bought an old one.
Costs
Economy is ok, but has needed some TLC.
-
On the road
Driving
Handles well. Understeers if pushed extremely hard. Impressed BMW 3-Series-owning mate.
Performance
Engine is strong, flexible, and accelerates well enough when you use all the revs.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Electrical troubles - failed speedometer, door ajar sensors, boot solenoid, airbag warning light flashes sometimes (seatbelt pretensioners have dodgy connections), suspension needs work after 60-70k miles.
Image
It's a Ford.
Comfort
Seats comfy, but trim not exactly solid - check out armrest wobble.

Security and Service
Security
Who wants to steal a P-reg Mondeo?
Service
Platts of Marlow could not have been nicer or more helpful. However, this is not normal for a Ford dealer, apparently.
