Economy
Value
Bargains to buy, bad resale value though. Part-ex offers are dire - I'll keep it instead.
Costs
Don't find Ford cheap. Do servicing at home and take to National Tyres for £15 oil and filter change. Fuel economy good on motorway, but thirsty around town.

On the road
Driving
Excellent. Can't complain at all.
Performance
Not as quick as the manuals, but I don't floor it anyway.

Living with it
Reliability
Had £600 gearbox repair (torque convertor) at 99k miles. Has an electronic problem during the winter, where I have to leave ignition on for 5 mins before I can start it. No-one seems to know how to fix it; I put up with it. Otherwise, excellent!
Image
No-one cares for Mondeo's, except their owners. I love them.
Comfort
Seats and driving position perfect. I think it's ok for passengers too, but don't ask. Ride is very smooth.

Security and Service
Security
Double locking, immobiliser and alarm as standard.
Service
Not impressed. Apparently my CV joint needed replacing 50k miles ago - there's nothing wrong with it and it's still perfect.

Problems and Ownership
Problems
Engine
Perfect condition. Car has done 108k miles (I picked it up with 12.5k). Oil and filter change every 10k miles. Gear oil, air filter, spark plugs every 30k, cambelt changed at 70k.
Other
Electronic problem in the winter and cold engine. Turn key to ignition and fuel pump comes in, stops, then repeats. Continues for about 5 mins before becoming normal again, then I can start the car. Diagnosis can't pinpoint the problem.
