Economy
Value
It is a whole lot of car for the money, with a generous amount of extras.
Costs
I have personally had a V6 for 6 yrs and it has not cost me a penny in repairs other than the usual tyres and servicing

On the road
Driving
Steering gives a lot of feedback to the driver, although pushed hard through the bends can cause mild understeer due to the added weight of the V6.
Performance
With the V6 you would think it would be light years ahead of its little brother the 2.0 ltr, but due to the extra 60kg for the engine performance is good but not great. 0-60 taking 7.9secs. Mid range grunt is good from 3500rpm, fit an after market exhaust

Living with it
Reliability
To date the car has covered 74k and has not caused any problems, a few noises have appeared, but it is nearly 10yrs old.
Image
it doesn't have the greatest image, but with the traction control it can show up some of the hot hatches from the lights.
Comfort
The wrap round seats in the V6 are great and hold you well.

Security and Service
Security
Cars come as standard with Ford's alarm and immobiliser, V6 comes with b pillar sensors.
Service
I have always had the full backing of all the Ford dealers I have visited over the years from Scotland to Cornwall.
