Ford Mondeo Hatchback (2000 - 2007) 1.8 Edge 5d Owner Review

Loads of kit, rear parking sensors, auto dipping rear view mirror, auto lights, auto wipers, electric driver seat, air con, good stereo, huge boot, comfortable seats, great driving position and good performance for the size of engine and car. Car is very long, like a submarine. No cruise control on the Edge model, seems they sacrificed this for the rear parking sensors. Based on Mazda's MZR L engine - one of their most reliable, expect few issues and cheap parts if needed as a Ford. Suprising good for a call costing £2,200 with 41,000 on the clock and full service history, one elderly owner. Cheap to buy, fuel consumption high - 26 MPG around town is poor, better on longer runs, tax and insurance both high as group 17 - why?! Drives fantastically though, very quiet and comfortable.
