What does this car say about you?
Steady, middle of the road, no boy racer, bit of a boring choice perhaps.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Looked nice (when newer), spacious inside. In a world full of small hatchbacks its not bad.
Would you buy this car again and why?
No, because of the Auto box problem. Plus its very heavy on fuel, about 25 to the gallon, mostly urban driving. I have given a 2 star overall rating because of the gearbox and fuel consumption; if the box was ok it would be more a 3 and a half stars.
What are you likely to buy next?
Vauxhall Astra 2.0 CDti (auto) or Kia Cee'd (auto).

Did you get a good deal and why?
Bought from big car supermarket, price was competitive, deal was ok, nothing special, didnt get much for my trade-in.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
It look nice in red, colour coded mirrors, door handles, bumpers, had Air Con, was smooth and quiet and felt great to drive.
What was the dealer like?
Dealer was ok, got me some money off as there was only 1 key. Ok i guess.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
When it was newer; lovely car to drive, very rewarding, great handling on country lanes, made me feel good. Better at speed, feels a bit front heavy on roundabouts etc.
What's it like to park?
Not great, its a very big car and hard to work out where the front and rear end.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Tailgate central locking solenoid sticks in unlocked position sometimes, water gets into the footwell via the door drainage vents when it rains heavy. Alloy wheels have corroded. Car now feels very sluggish, not much power. Big, heavy car for the power output. Biggest problem is auto gearbox is now slipping, which is very disappointing given its only done 65k. On a day to day basis its been very reliable.
What's most practical about your car?
Huge boot, lots of space inside.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Air Con, and having an auto box.
