Economy
Value
Belgian import, £4000 off list when new. Lots of equipment for money.
Costs
Reasonable fuel consumption, but not as good as expected. Other costs good.

On the road
Driving
Good ride/ cornering/ handling. Excellent mid-range torque and motorway cruising. Rather flat at low speed. Too large for multi storeys.
Performance
Strange surges at low speeds, but good mid-range accelaration and motorway cruise excellent.

Living with it
Reliability
No problems at all.
Image
Good when first bought in 2001 and still relatively rare. Commonplace now.
Comfort
Good seats, roomy front and back, harsh at town speeds, okay on open road. Very good stereo.
-
Security and Service
Security
Lousy. broken into via screwdrivered lock without even setting off alarm. Pathetic.
Service
Good local dealer, but horror stories abound about Ford dealers in other areas.

Problems and Ownership

Other
Soft feel plastics on doors starting to peel. Plastics generally starting to look shabby and difficult to clean. Driver's seat starting to wear at base of backrest. O/E front tyres wore out in less than 12k miles.
