Ford Mondeo Hatchback (2000 - 2007) 2.0TD Ghia X 5d Owner Review

I still have my 2.0 tddi Ghia X and it’s still going strong after a very hard life as my workhorse to and from Ireland. As it’s the agricultural tddi as opposed to the far more refined but very injector hungry tdci that explains why it’s still going strong after nearly 20 years of faithful service! A decent remap and few tweaks to the engine means it’s more than capable of keeping up with modern traffic very easily indeed :) The car itself what can I say? It’s done 160k miles and everything still works including the a/c would give you frostbite! And all the electrics including the sunroof, electric heated leather seats and the very expensive and rare factory xenon headlights all work, a testament to what could of been a truly great car had Ford stuck to the basic but less refined tddi unit instead of the disastrous later common rail system used. Overall this is the best car I have ever owned and will be a very sad day when we part company once tin worm has its way.
