Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Good ride and comfortable as per most reviews. However the 2.5 is useless with the 5 speed auto - 10% worse MPG *and* worse performance by a long way compared to the previous generation Vectra 2.5 4-speed auto it replaced. How is that possible? And no, it doesn't weigh more. The official figures confirm the same. The brakes were noticeably weak - completely unacceptable. The auto box was a 5 speed but again was a design mystery - it dropped down on inclines to slow the car - except dropping from 5th to 3rd suddenly causes a lurch over which you have no easy control - utterly stupid. Overall the older Vectra was better to drive, much more responsive and cheaper to run.
What's it like to park?
Very nice with the park assist.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Nothing other than leaking door seals, flickering headlights.
What's most practical about your car?
Roomy and well specified - had every extra going.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Sunroof was good but too small. Heated seats for winter should be standard - leather is like ice in sub zero temps.
