Summary
What does this car say about you?
Honest, basic, sensible, Dad. You have drive it to realise what great dynamics it really has.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Big and quite good looking. Everyone suprised of how good it is onn the inside. A mile from the last model and light years from the one before that.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Probably would choose it from the list again, but would rather not have Edge trim. it looks so much better with bigger alloys, and the 2.0 TDCi is just a bit more torquey. And come on, can't Ford afford to give you colour coded door handles al least??
What are you likely to buy next?
If I had to buy privately, a three year old 2.0 Zetec look great value for money. Yes.

Buying experience

Yes

£0
When did you buy the car?

Did you get a good deal and why?
Company Car with limited choice
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Company Car list. Growing family meant Focus Zetec/ Astra SRi boot too small. Had already driven Mondeo and Insignia as hire drives on business trips and Mondeo felt better for my driving style
What was the dealer like?

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
This is what makes it beter then an Insignia. You can push it into corners, and it always lets you know what it's doing. Not as sharp as a Focus mind you, but it is much bigger. Engine punchy on the move, but watch it pulling out at junctions, it has a real lag in power unless you floor it, and from cold it seems even worse.
What's it like to park?
OK, my previous company car was a Focus, so there are now a lot of spaces in car parks I'm not happy trying out. A car of this size really needs park assist, even on the basic model for quick city parallel parking.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
No.
What's most practical about your car?
The boot is huge. Can easily accomodate everything for family holiday plus full size buggy. Cabin space is great and spacious.
