Summary
What does this car say about you?
I couldn't be bothered thinking about what car to buy.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
It doesn't provoke any conversation.
Would you buy this car again and why?
No. Diesel engine isn't as good as others I've had. We didn't become friends. I'd like something that is a little firmer to drive.
What are you likely to buy next?
Something petrol. Not a Ford.

Didn't buy from a dealer

No
What price did you pay?
£0
When did you buy the car?
January 2013
Did you get a good deal and why?
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I made an error in my appraisal of the car. Thought it would be o.k.
What was the dealer like?

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Comfortable on the motorway. Not so good on A or B roads - too soft. Tiring around town as you have to "pre-charge" the throttle if you want to move away quickly at round-abouts, junctions; and sometimes it seems hard to find a gear it will perform well in - 2nd and 3rd are too low for driving at 30; 4th can be o.k.but will not let you accelerate swiftly.
What's it like to park?
Not so good. Looking over either shoulder I can't see well enough; but the mirrors do a reasonable job. Steering is light enough to help parking.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
There's a mystery behind why the engine warning light is on. It sometimes cuts out when cold.
What's most practical about your car?
The wheels. Big boot.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The best thing, I think, is the car radio working with my phone over bluetooth. Although the voice commands can be a bit "hit and miss" sometimes, and I can't access the music on my phone, largely it is quite good. However, sometimes it is easier to just accept that you're not going to get a call done - cancel, take a breath, try again.
