Summary
What does this car say about you?
That I'm not a badge snob and I don't mind understated performance combined with practicality. Why pay 3 times as much for the equivalent age/spec BMW.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They think it's just another Mondeo. Take them for a drive in it though and they soon know different!
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes. I think I would try and get one with the sports bumpers and exhausts.
What are you likely to buy next?
Next I will be getting a Focus ST or an RS.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
The 2.5T is a gem of an engine. When you floor it, it sounds immense, it's very quick and just like the ST220 I owned before it, it will embarrass 95% of your mates Mercs and Beemers for performance. I am yet to have it re-mapped, but am planning on doing so. 265hp for an extra 350 quid sounds good to me! Likewise though, if you pootle out shopping in it, it's ultra quiet and refined.
What's it like to park?
Make no mistake, this is a big car. It's built on the Galaxy chassis and boy, do you know it! Thankfully, parking sensors front and rear make the difference. I have the tinted rear windows which you basically can't see through in the dark, so combined with the very limited view out of the rear window mean you might as well not try and look out the back quarters! However, as said before, the parking sensors make up for this!

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Never missed a beat. Quite literally nothing has misbehaved since buying it. The build quality is very nearly as good as it's German rivals. If you were ultra picky you could find a rattle compared to a BMW, but I can't! It's so refined that 100 feels like 60!
What's most practical about your car?
The boot is huge. Fits 5 people comfortably on a long trip with plenty of space. A very practical car, No Doubt.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Heated front windscreen/Adaptive Corner Lighting/The noise from the 5 pot when she gets going/Massive Boot/The look on most 3/5 series c/e class owners when you leave them standing!
