Economy
Value
Very cheap to buy - mine cost £750 with 12 months MOT.
Costs
It's a Ford - okay, parts are cheap, but you'll need an awful lot of them.

Living with it
Reliability
It's a Ford. Loads of niggly faults. It may drive well, but it's always going wrong. Spent three out of the last four weeks in the garage trying to trace a brake fault. Doesn't feel particularly well built, either.
Image
Non-existant really. Just blends into the background.
Comfort
Excellent on a long journey.

Security and Service
Security
Usual Ford - you could open it with a spoon if you wanted to.
Service
My Ford dealer is surprisingly good - a lot aren't, though.

Problems and Ownership
Problems
Engine
Slight tickover problem, caused by airflow meter needing cleaning. Nothing else, really.
Other
Brakes. All been pressure tested, had new flexi pipes and master cylinder, pedal still sinks to floor (but brakes work). Lots of minor faults that make you not trust it.
