Ford Mondeo Saloon 2.0i GLX 4d Auto (93) (1994/M) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Seemed good value when I bought it four years ago.
Costs
Very juicy for what it is.

On the road
Driving
Fluid chassis with throttle adjustability, but not as good the motoring press suggest. Heavy steering does not equate to more feel and feedback... It's just heavy.
Performance
Strong top end. Awful sluchmatic takes edge of performance, and the engine sounds like a bucket of bolts being shaken when revved.

Living with it
Reliability
Woefull! Trim and fitting the worst I've ever seen. Bits of trim collapsed and cheapo plastics disintegrate. The auto gave up after just 65,000 miles and would cost £1200 to fix (scrap).
Image
Terminally dull.
Comfort
Pretty good over most surfaces, but theres more room inside a peugeot 206.
