Ford Mondeo Saloon 2.5 V6 ST24 4d (1999/S) Owner Review

Economy
Value
A real wolf in sheeps clothing. Eye-catching body kit does enhance the appearance no end.
Costs
Great Value second hand, but it was a little expensive to buy new. Can be a little thirsty if your right foot is heavy, but sounds incredible when let loose.

On the road
Driving
Not for those who like a spongy ride. An exciting machine to drive. I have taken mine all over Europe and it is ideal for the long smooth roads on the continent.
Performance
Loads of grunt and the traction control is really efficient. Good on fuel if you take things easy. (Drove from Paris to London on half a tank at around 80ish mph).

Living with it
Reliability
Apart from an accelerator cable snapping in mid flight, no problems. The replacement cable was a long time coming though (4 days).
Image
Nicely styled bodykit and the V6 badge make you realise it is different to your average plastic lined Ford.
Comfort
Very supportive and comfortable front seats. Not for those with back problems though, the suspension is quite firm and you can feel all the bumps. The price of good handling though I guess.

Security and Service
Security
Factory fitted immobiliser/alarm was sensible in that it doesnt go off each time a dog cocks his leg over your nice shiny alloys. Keys are coded too.
Service
Good servicing and well looked after. I would have definately have bought another but I hate the new styling.
