Economy
Value
If you can find something with the same list of goodies for the money, then your probably working for NASA.
Costs
No bills so far. Can be heavy on petrol if abused.

On the road
Driving
Feels reassuring but a little dull, nice balance under heavy cornering, ABS-awful, bakes scarry. Nice noise with a pipercross airfilter.
Performance
Feels better than you would think for a Mondeo, fast around town, slower than it looks, at the end of the day its still a family ford!

Living with it
Reliability
Windscreen washer stropped working after a week when 100 miles from home, late at night, on a dirty motorway! Interior trim rattles on bumpy roads and ABS kicks in under moderate braking! Speedo fault.
Image
Still looks good and turns heads. For an 8k salon with a blue oval on the front, it can't be bad.
Comfort
Very nice driving position, eats motorways and has nice handling. Forget slowing for speed bumps, firmer suspension would be good but granny wouldn't like it.

Security and Service
Security
Standard dead locking, face off stereo and locking wheel nuts. Could be better but just about acceptable.
Service
Diabolical. Avoid the main dealers like the plague, they pretend to be helpful when you buy, but its different when you go for repairs under warranty.
