Ford Probe 2.0i 16V 3d (1996/N) Owner Review

Economy
Value
A lot of car for not much money; the equipment provided is superb.
Costs
It's a Ford. It's also a Japanese build, so not too much to replace.

Driving
Delightfult to drive, although maybe not as much feedback as you might expect on the steering.
Performance
16v not as powerful as many modern 1800 cars, but if you want performance go for the 24v.

Living with it
Reliability
No problems to report on a late model. Earlier models had minor issues with some electrics.
Image
Perceived image might not be great, but anyone looking at the car will always look again. Just don't tell them it's a Ford Probe.
Comfort
Comfortable for those long motorways for the driver and passenger, and plenty of room for all your luggage. Don't expect to take the whole family with you on anything over a couple of miles!

Security and Service
Security
Not a target for thieves. Also fully immobilised and alarmed from the factory.
Service
Checked details of any errors and recalls before purchase. Very obliging and helpful.
