Economy
Value
Low tax, low insurance, maximum attention from onlookers! Still get people saying "nice car, mate".
Costs
1.4 is so cheap to run - Fiesta bits keep servicing costs down.

On the road
Driving
I now own my second 1.4 Puma - why? Because I love driving them!
Performance
As I don't want to lose my licence, its quick enough for me.

Living with it
Reliability
This car will go on and on, and when it goes, I'll drop a new engine in it.
Image
Now deemed a "junior classic" - if you've got one keep it nice. I had a 1.4 Puma for 5 years before swapping it for an MR2 roadster. That was an unreliable beast, so here I am back with the Puma I love again.
Comfort
We went on a family holiday to Cornwall in it - 2 adults and 2 kids and all luggage. Cramped a bit but cosy.

Security and Service
Security
Appears OK.
Service
I use a small local Ford dealer and their service is superb. Big town dealers are less so.

Problems and Ownership
Problems
Engine
Other
Rear parcel shelf is impossible. Heater valve also fails which can stick the car heater on full permanently. A simple fault to fix however it was because of this the previous owner of my current Puma got rid of the car so I'm glad it had the fault!
