Ford Puma 1.7i 16V 3d (2001/51) Owner Review

-
Economy
Value
Various components in the car are cheap and flimsy, but you get what you pay for so beware and expect things to rattle and break.
Costs
I think you can do better for your money.

On the road
Driving
I have owned many sportscars in the past, so this is how I rate it in comparison with cars of the same value.
Performance
Engine is perky and impresive for a 1.7 and fuel economy is ok.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Engine ok, but the rest of the car is very poor.
Image
Image is all this car has going for it. Underneath it's just a Fiesta with a good engine and an ego.
Comfort
Comfotable driving position, but the clutch feels uneasy under the foot.

Security and Service
Security
Ok, but keyfobs can become faulty.
Service
Service costs are competitive with other manufacturers but Ford dealers still try to rip you off. Be firm and stand your ground!
