Economy
Value
Mostly cheap parts, with the exception of parts for the 4x4 system they ARE expensive and I found hard to get hold of, needed new rear bumper which also was like rocking horses do da & expensive… just as well the other guy's insurance had to pay for it!
Costs
Fuel terrible (I get about 18 to the gallon from mine. I drive her hard though and the smile she puts on my face is priceless! So a 5 for that lol.

On the road
Driving
Only one bad expierence shortly after buying with oe suspesion & crap tires I lost it on a wet bend (when these things go... they REALLY GO!) so repaired damage with new & better wheels/tires & Koni suspension, now a fantastic drive! Sticks like glue!
Performance
Fantastic! Pulls hard & fast & just keeps coming back for more! Blows away a lot of way more newer & expensive cars, your Audis, Mercs & BMWs with ease. Not the fastest car I've ever driven, but still fast enough to get you up in front of a madgistrates!

Living with it
Reliability
Touch wood... she's never let me down yet, starts first time every time although get an occasional whine from the fuel pump other than that everything works as if it rolled off the line yesterday (not even any 'christmas tree' rear lights!)
Image
Little bit dated I suppose as standard, but with the right 'bolt-ons' can look a fantastic car again and you can't help but admire the fantastic V6 roar that gets heads turning everywhere and says look at this car! Brilliant!
Comfort
Comfort pretty good on long and short trips (I'm 6' 4") but still loads of cabin space, but I have plans on swapping the GLS interior for one from a Cossie as the Recaros should grip me better when the planned supercharger conversion is completed!

Security and Service
Security
Poor, no immobiliser or alarm on mine when I brought her so first thing I did was to have a Thacham Cat 1 system installed along with a steering lock (you can never be too careful) Still should be slightly more difficult when the locks removed & smoothed.
Service
Ok. Only used to sorce some parts, but to be honest can find cheaper if you know where to look. DIY keeps it less expensive!

Problems and Ownership
Problems
Engine
It's 14 years old and covered under 50k miles. Still good as new no problems at all.
Other
No other problems to date. For a car that's this old, I can't fault her! I dropped on a good one and for the money I doubt you'd find performance wise a better car in its class!
Ownership
Did you buy the car new?
Used
Would you buy the same model again?
