Ford Tourneo Connect (2013 - 2022) 1.6 TDCi Zetec 5d Owner Review

In their own words
For the past 20 years I have always used a car derived van for work and pleasure. Used to the driver height, space, storage holes etc. As it was time to dare I say downgrade to a car and after looking at a few models I couldn't bring myself round to going back to a car. Spotted the Tourneo Connect online, phoned the dealer, reserved it, viewed it, didn't even test drive it as it was only 1 year old so warranty intact. Its the Zetec model (not the LWB) with a 1.6 diesel, comfy seats, great drive height, loads of cubby holes all around, in car phone thingy hands free, huge boot space/height, sliding rear doors so great for rear passengers getting out. You can take out the back seats easy to double the space, fold down front pass seat forwards, I carried 8 foot deck boards, just wrapped a towel round to save my dashboard, none of this hanging out the pass open window stuff you see at DIY stores. It carried 4 adults, one toddler in baby seat, 4 suitcases, 3 hand luggage and a buggy, all in the back bit. Took us to Southampton Docks and back without a murmur. The only one niggle, no spare wheel which is the norm nowadays, has a puncture repair thingy but if you use that the tyre repairers charge £40 to clean the glue out. Ebay do complete spares at £125 so will invest in that me thinks. So, its a fancy van with seats and windows, well recommended if that's the sort of thing you need.
