Ford Tourneo Connect verdict

Should you buy one?
The Tourneo Connect offers supreme roominess and flexibility. If you value space above all else and don’t mind your family car looking like a van, it’s a good choice.
Other van-based cars such as the Peugeot e-Rifter, Citroen e-Berlingo and Vauxhall Combo-e are only available with electric powertrains, so the Ford is much more adaptable and adept at long-distance travelling.
However, the VW Caddy, which is nearly identical to the Ford, comes with a better warranty and can be had for less money if you forgo a few creature comforts. Which ultimately makes the Ford harder to recommend.
What we like
The boot space is epic. It can truly swallow five adults and all their luggage for a long journey, and if you go for the diesel, it’ll handle it with ease.
What we don’t like
It’s louder and more raucous than a family MPV and it does look, and feel, like a van. The infotainment is fiddly too.
