Ford Tourneo Courier verdict
Should you buy one?
We love the way the Transit Courier drives and, while design is subjective, its looks are bold and nicely customisable – something that’s rare to find when shopping for this kind of car. The Courier’s great driving position, good rear space and generous amount of standard equipment is to be commended, too.
The trouble is, the Dacia Jogger can provide a lot of what the Courier can for at least £5,000 less, which will be a considerable thorn in the side of Ford’s small new MPV.
What we like
The way the Courier drives and handles – it’s a van-based MPV that is remarkably fun to drive – is the main positive for us, as is the generous amount of standard equipment on UK models. It’s also not that large, which can mean it’s easy to park.
What we don’t like
The automatic gearbox can be frustrating to use, as can the infotainment system. And, while space is good in the back seats and in the boot, there’s very little to set it apart or make it particularly practical compared to some of the car’s rivals.
