FSO Polonez (1987 - 1991) 1.5 SCE 5d Owner Review
In their own words
I bought the Polonez to replace a Wartburg Knight saloon, and from the same dealer. It was satisfactory in most respects, and got me to the GDR several times without problems. It suffered from rust, and had a small, fairly weak battery, which suffered in bad wintry weather. It cruised comfortably on motorways, and had a large boot; I never used the fold down seat to extend the boot space. I sold the car in 1983 and bought a new Lada 1600, which promised, and delivered, better winter starting.
