We'll forgive you for not having heard of this one. GWM actually refers to Great Wall Motors, a Chinese carmaker that previously imported pickups into the UK, and which now hopes to make a big splash with its upcoming range of electric cars.

First to hit the UK is the Funky Cat, an intriguing rival to the Volkswagen ID.3 and Renault Megane E-Tech, but as a more accessible price point.
