GWM ORA 03 Hatchback (2024 - 2025) 126kW Pure+ 48kWh 5dr Auto Owner Review

This is the worst car i have ever used (out of many dozens over the years) and the only one that is so bad that I have come to dislike it intensely. Notwithstanding it's NCAP rating, I consider it to be dangerous and definitely not suitable for inexperienced drivers. I am half way through a 2 year lease deal with this car and i am about to return it early at significant personal expense because it is so bad. Some of the issues with the car are as follows:
- Sometimes (apparently randomly) the car will creep forward after coming to a halt even with auto hold on - even if on an upwards slope.
- Randomly will cancel single pedal mode whilst driving leading to significantly reduced braking effect without any warning.
- Lane control snatches fiercely at the steering wheel (compared to other vehicles) and, on country lanes, will sometimes try to steer the car off the road into hedges, stone walls etc.
- On occasion, the vehicle will randomly put on the parking brake whilst at a halt at a roundabout or junction with no alert. When trying to pull into a gap in traffic, the car remains stationary - at best inconvenient, at worst potentially serious hazard.
- If you have favoured settings whilst driving such as single pedal mode, no lane assist etc, these have to be reset again for every trip.
- The Navigator provides unnecessarily repetitive or nugatory instructions which become extremely wearing over time.
- Cruise control is unable to discern diff3rence between a vehicle ahead of a bend in the road resulting in, sometimes very, severe deceleration on a clear stretch of road creating a hazard for traffic behind.
- There is no rear screen wipe. The rear screen rapidly becomes opaque in poor conditions significantly imparing rear visibility.
- When waiting in the vehicle in a car park, the hazard flashers start operating after a few minutes. To stop them, you have to lock and unlock the car (if you have a key). After another period, they do it again.
- After turning off the car while waiting, you have to lock and unlock the car again before it will turn on again even if you have not left the vehicle.
