Overview
It pays to be memorable when introducing yourself, and we very much doubt you’ll be forgetting about the Ora Funky Cat in a hurry. It was the first in a whole range of Ora electric cars that ushered in GWM, or Great Wall Motors, into the UK passenger car market.
It’s a rare car, though, as the importer rebranded the intriguingly-named car after less than a year on sale. From being the Funky Cat, it became known as the GWM Ora 03 – the first in a long line of similarly-numbered EVs.
Despite looking like a MINI Electric or Fiat 500 rival, it came in at 4,235mm long and 1,825mm wide, making it slightly shorter and a little wider than a Volkswagen Golf or ID.3. That size endowed it with good passenger space but that comes at the expense of boot room, making this less of a practical option for families and more of a rival to the fashion-forward MINI and Fiat.
