Honda Accord Saloon 2.0i LS 4d Auto (1996/N) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Got a lot of gadgets for the money compared to other manafacturers. Cruise control, electric everything etc.
Costs
A bit thirsty and parts aren't exactly cheap.

On the road
Driving
Perfectly adequate. Nothing too special. Controls well placed and easy to use. Everything you need to have a pleasant journey.
Performance
Not bad for a family saloon. Have seen 130 on the clock and gave a BMW 328 a run for it's money!

Living with it
Reliability
Probably the most reliable car I have owned. No breakdowns as yet (Touch wood once again!)
Image
Not exactly a desirable car, but I can think of worse.
Comfort
I make quite a few 200 mile+ journeys to visit family and have no gripes when getting out at the other end.

Security and Service
Security
Alarm and immobilisor are standard and I haven't had any problems with them. Nobody has tried to break in either(touch wood).
Service
Never had it serviced at a main Honda dealer. The car was 5 years old when I bought it so there was no point paying the extra premium of having a Honda stamp in the book. Had it serviced at independant garages and they have done just a good a job.
