Summary
What does this car say about you?
I've been told old man by the other half but she likes taking it to IKEA to fill it with stuff so she can stop complaining!
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Like it.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes I have been impressed, I would buy another accord again, prob the newer model though. The 2.0 petrol is great, simple to look after and is good on fuel, even does 30mpg when towing, a diesel Saab could only manage 33mpg!
What are you likely to buy next?
Prob another Honda accord est, but maybe a 2.4 for a bit more fun depending on running costs.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£2,800
When did you buy the car?
August 2014
Did you get a good deal and why?
Yes I believe so, it was a keen price for the year and mileage and in good condition with full dealer history.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Wanted some reliability after a bad experience with a Saab, heard nothing but good reports about Honda being in a league of their own for reliability so hunted one down.
What was the dealer like?
Very helpful. It had a rear suspension clonk when tested, the dealer got a shock and both link arms done but I picked it up and the noise was still present, he let me drive it away and bring it back a couple of months later once it got worse, they changed anti roll bar bushes, now all silent!

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Very good, reasonably quick, does an easy 35mpg and handles great on 17" rims, 16"s soften the ride a bit but are still pretty good, quiet at speed, pulls 3100 revs at 70 which is a bit alarming after driving my other half's c30 2.0d that pulls 2000 at 80!
What's it like to park?
Rear parking sensors help, although I drive a van so cars are easy, good turning circle considering the length though.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Nothing, it has just had a new battery as it sounded a bit slow turning over ( cheap halfords battery ) only 3 years old too! It now starts far quicker.
What's most practical about your car?
Huge boot and self opening and closing.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Like the auto wipers, VTEC always nice! Hid lights, cruise, great to drive.
