Summary
What does this car say about you?
Bit of an individual, who apprciates quality.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They love it, but it's a car that none of them would have thought of putting on their shopping list, but they would add it to their list now.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, but I'd probably be looking at petrol version, after my DPF issues.
What are you likely to buy next?
Possibly new Honda Civic - but petrol.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£9,000
When did you buy the car?
April 2015
Did you get a good deal and why?
The buying process at George Rhodes was simple un-pressured and without the ‘having to check with my manager’ routines we have had at main dealers, we were given a good price for our part-ex, and the car we were buying was going to be serviced and any advisories on the MOT attended to.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Time for a change, my Mercedes CLK 270 was ready to start getting expensive, plus my company was threatening to enforce their no cars over 8 years old for staff who opted out of the Company Car scheme.
What was the dealer like?
The quality of a great garage comes across when things start to go wrong. All the items in what has gone wrong with it were covere by George Rhodes excellent warranty, without a quibble. George Rhodes play the long game, reputation is king, and I hope this helps in preserving and praising their excellent service. A big thank you to Jacob, Josh, Steve. amd especially Neil.

Big mirrors, and reversing camera make reversing easy.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
After 100 miles the Engine Management Light came on. George Rhodes replaced the EGR with a new unit from Honda. I picked the car up and drove away, after 85 miles the light was back on. Getting the light to go out involved in George Rhodes having to take the car into their local Honda dealer, who had all sorts of problems themselves, and they ended up bringing in a specialist because the software update would not be accepted. Honda sorted the problem and a new Diesel Particulates Filter later the and the car has run without the Engine Management Light on ever since.
What's most practical about your car?
The whole car being the estate version is totally practical., the dog guard keeps the dog in the boot section, rather than him climbing into the passenger seat.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Heated leather seats, remote powered tailgate, and reversing camera.
