Honda Civic Coupe 1.6i LS 2d (1997/P) Owner Review

Economy
Value
A very good buy, they hold their value very well if looked after.
Costs
Parts and services are expensive, but worth it for the driving experience.

On the road
Driving
Seats are uncomfortable (no side support), good visibility and good round corners once lowered, and bigger wheels have been fitted.
Performance
Very quick after 4000rpm, 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear are lots of fun. Red lines at 7000rpm so engine loves to be thrashed. I have comfortably kept pace with 2.0 Celica GT and have out ran much more powerful cars than the coupe.

Living with it
Reliability
Very reliable, although if anything does go wrong, take a deep breathe because its going to hurt your wallet.
Image
I've put 17" alloy wheels, accord type R spoiler and lowered it and it looks like a beast, but standard they look like a granddad mobile.
Comfort
A good seating position and pedals are well spaced out. Again seats are terrible.

Security and Service
Security
No alarm, just a standard immobiliser.
