Honda Civic Hatchback VTi 3d (1997/P) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Good value for what you get under the bonnet.
Costs
Parts are pricey from main dealers. £195.00 for a brake calliper (which do tend to seize). Find a good specialist Honda garage and save money on labour.

On the road
Driving
OK but a bit boring under 4000rpm.
Performance
It still makes me smile after four years of owning it. Very entertaining above 4000rpm.

Living with it
Reliability
Never lets me down, but does get serviced regularly.
Image
Bodystyling does not match performance. Wheels and VTi badge are the only giveaway on unmodified examples. A proper wolf in sheeps clothing.
Comfort
Bucket seats needed for better driving experience.

Security and Service
Security
Pants! Rubbish! If it was not for a Category One alarm and Immobiliser fitted by me, mine would have been nicked by some lads with a screwdriver!
Service
Honda build fantastic engines and good cars, but find a main dealer you can trust.
