Summary
What does this car say about you?
It isn't exactly a young mans car, but in supersonic blue its different and stands out. Alloys finish them off brilliantly.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Parent's have much better cars, but think its great for what it's size and spec etc.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Not this one. I'd love the type-r version but its too expensive insurance wise.
What are you likely to buy next?
Toyota Celica or MR2-GT.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£4,000
When did you buy the car?
January 2006
Did you get a good deal and why?
For the price paid it has been a really good car.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
It was my first car and I needed something with legroom and that wasn't the stereotypical corsa or saxo rubbish.
What was the dealer like?
Very helpful.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Excellent, especially for a 1.4. Around town its easy with light steering, but can be a bit loud on the motorway being as it's a bit revvy, but can cruise easily at 90ish. Driving 40+ miles on country roads everyday, it's great fun, but the steering lacks feel as it's so light. It feels much quicker than 0-60 figures suggest and has easily kept up with Mini Coopers and Mk3 Golf GTi's. Lifting off mid-corner can lead to sliding when wet.
What's it like to park?
Simple, easy to see out of and manouvre. The light steering is also helpful.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Only the usual wear and tear stuff. Had the car for three years and only bought one new set of tyres and those on it originally weren't brand new.
What's most practical about your car?
The size. Plenty of room for five adults, decent sized boot.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
It hasn't got any! It's the basic entry level one with nothing electrical. Saves weight I suppose!
