What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Family love the car as its dependable and cheap. Friends used to tease me about it being a granddad car... until I reminded them that it does a great job of towing them home when they break down!

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes. Honda aftersales service (Southall Honda is great). General reliability.

Probably another civic.

Did you get a good deal and why?

Ok deal. Knocked off a bit of cash, but not too much. Mats were thrown in.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Value for money, better spec and more space compared to the equivalent MK4 Golf.

What was the dealer like?

Very helpful and friendly. Open and Honest.

What's it like to drive?

Its quite quick for a 1.6 auto when you work it hard. It does have body roll, but it grips really well (with Michellin E3A's). The Pirelli P4000's that came on the car as standard were poor.

What's it like to park?

Very easy. Rear visibility is limited due to high boot lid, but once you get used to it, the car is easy to park with just the side mirrors alone!

Have you had any problems with the car?

In the 8 years and 125k miles we have owned it - nothing major. The thermostat went and was repaired by Honda for £150 all inclusive. Other than that, its just been standard maintenance.

What's most practical about your car?

It works, and keeps on working, no questions asked!

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Its pretty basic. Power steering, elec windows, Air con, sunroof, autobox. Take your pick!
