-
Economy
Value
Adequate, but not all the bells and whistles.
Costs
Diesel economy, good service intervals, good tyre wear.
-
On the road
Driving
Electro-mechanical power steering gives little self centering at motorway speeds and is soon caught out in car park wheel twirling.
Performance
Turbo lag is horrendous, but once spinning it thrives on higher revs than other diesels. Not much mid range torque
-
Living with it
Reliability
Turn the switch and go, no problems.
Image
Very plain exterior, new models too bling.
Comfort
Can't be beaten in it' s class for rear seat room and practicality. Handbrake area flat floor very useful too, centre console on newer models is a retro step.

Security and Service
Security
As it should be.
Service
Oil level requires checking at full working temperature and after 5 minutes standstill, very subjective, why not dip it conventionally?

Problems and Ownership

Engine
