No

£0
When did you buy the car?
January 2010
Did you get a good deal and why?
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Having owned a variety of hot hatches, coupes and a convertible over the years, the time has arrived to buy something more practical. The search was therefore on for something practical, safe, well equiped and very reliable. Having had positive past experiences with two Hondas, I decided to treat myself to a new shape (2006 model year) civic. I was in for a big surprise....
What was the dealer like?

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
The 1.8 engine in the civic is impressive in that it is very docile, relatively economical and responsive when pushed. However, the many faults that arose week after week ruined the ownership experience for me and completely turned me off the car.
What's it like to park?
Difficult due to rear and rear quarter visibility.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Yes - lots. In the space of just 4 months and 3000 miles the civic developed 6 faults. One day it failed to start, the idle speed was very erratic from the moment I collected it, the abs light came on, the trip computer would freeze, the car had rust along one of the doors and the electric windows played up. As a result I couldnt wait to get rid of it. This was so dissapointing as the car wasn't cheap and I had purchased it from a main dealer.
What's most practical about your car?
Huge boot.
