In their own words
Great car, handles well, plenty of power for the engine size. Really good on fuel for the age and mileage on mine! I have ran into only a few suspension issues with my particular car but I think that’s just due to the mileage. Other than that I put it through hell every week with the state of the UK’s awful roads and weather and i know every morning it will start and perform better than it did the day before. Gearbox is one of the best I’ve used. Steering feel and driving position are bang on for myself, even though it’s a lot bigger than the previous generation civic it still feels nimble and sure footed.
The interior of this car is great for the age. The dashboard has a nice feel, the instruments light up a nice shade of blue and the multifunction computer is great, digital speedometer right in your line of sight so you don’t have to take your eyes off the road. The information screen for the stereo sometimes has a habit of going pixelated or not showing the time, radio station or temperature info but I have heard this is very common with this model and can be easily repaired for little money. The features in this car are great. Dual panoramic roof with electric blinds, folding door mirrors, dual zone climate control, cruise control etc are all here and still work perfectly as you’d expect for a Honda. I found the speakers in the car could be a little better but mine does have higher mileage than most.
The practicality of this car is unbelievable. There is a lotal 6 places to put a cup or bottle in the car, armrest, huge door bins, storage cubbys, huge glovebox, magic folding seats, the boot is massive with a huge storage area under the boot floor (no spare tire) the seats fold completely flat for even more room and you can carry pretty tall items with the seats folded the other way. It’s unreal.
My next car will be another one of these but with lower mileage and a bit newer, and maybe a different colour. Mine is black and looks great but they look great in red! Not that the mileage matters with these engines, I have seen them with over 250,000 miles on the clock! Bulletproof if cared for and serviced regularly.
Wish they still made cars like this. Enough 2000’s nostalgia with a modern feel. Still feels fresh today and I’ve had people guess the age of the car, a few said 2010, someone said 2012! Admittedly they don’t drive themselves but I thought I’ll take that!
Well worth checking out, they are cheap to buy and run. Keep more of them on the road and save us all from the mediocre copy paste crossover rubbish!!!
