Summary
What does this car say about you?
That I am brave enough to be different. It is a cool car. Full Stop!
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Love it - mum and dad find they can bang their heads on the way in and out of the back - but they are the only ones who ever have!
Would you buy this car again and why?
YES. I would be happy, when my four year finance deal is up, to hand the car back and get another one.
What are you likely to buy next?
Another Honda. The amount of kit you get for the money you pay and the quality of that kit is superb.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchise
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£8,000
When did you buy the car?
January 2009
Did you get a good deal and why?
Yes - Amazing deal. We were offered 2100 from a dealer in Weston-super-Mare, same dealership in Taunton offered no better. We then went to Kingsteinton in Devon and got a fab deal of 3000 for my old car (exactly what we were asking for on an internet auction site)
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
My uncle has had one and could find no fault. Needed desperately to change from a petrol guzzling 2.0 VW Bora Sport to something more economical, but didn't want to take a drop in power!
What was the dealer like?
Superb. Let us go out on a drive without him. Always the sign of a good dealer. Her knew the car was good and did not try to sell it to us, just pointed out the obvious good points. It had an inch long thick scratch in the middle of the bonnet and he was happy to be upfront about his repair budget and profit margins. We were able to strike a good deal. List price was 11000 we got it for 8000 on Honda finance.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Brilliant. The turbo is drive by wire - so there is very little turbo lag, and consistent delivery of the turbo - there is not turbo range (on some older cars you find the turbo only kicks in between 30 and 40 - the Civic is constant, it's always there)
What's it like to park?
Can be tricky for the first few times, but going from a Bora, anything is easier!
-
Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
No - the rear gas struts are slightly worn, this will go back under warranty. Other than that the car is superb.
What's most practical about your car?
Load space. Loads of it! Seats are amazingly easy to fold and re set. Easy to get in and out of and lovely to drive.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Love the cruise control (standard on ES model) and the dual zone climate control (also standard). But the panoramic glass roof is just brilliant. Would never buy a car without one having had it. So much light!
