Honda Civic Hatchback (2006 - 2011) 2.2 i-CTDi ES 5d Owner Review

Loved this car, but unfortunately and accident ended my time with it. Drove all extensively around the UK in it, and even down to south Italy without any trouble what so ever. 2.2 Diesel is one of the best engines I have drove. Superb balance of performance and economy. Quite easily on long runs get high 60s mpg. Average of my 25mile commute each way in some traffic was at least 58mpg. Car is so practical, plenty space inside without being overly large outside. Fold up rear seats are a superb idea. I had these in the up position that way my dog could sit in the floor well at the back with the seat belt on, without ruining the car seats. So wish Honda still did this engine, now have the 1.6 diesel they replace it with and would give anything to return to the 2.2. The 2.2 much more economical and smoother to drive.
