Honda Civic Hatchback (2012 - 2017) 1.6 i-DTEC EX 5d Owner Review

Does everything well, good on fuel, quick enough, loads of space, cheap to run, full of gadgets and very dependable. Journalist reviews moan about the drive not being sporty. Its a diesel powered family car, not a sports car, but is still powerful enough to cruise a little over 70 without breaking a sweat. Its comfortable on all kinds of road and I’ve not felt like I’m about to skid off the road, quiet and takes the bumps. Rear visibility takes a little getting used to, but doesn’t bother you after a few weeks. Can achieve 75mpg+ on a motorway run, but achieving high 50s with short Covid lockdown journeys. Only small complaints I have is that the front end can catch on speed bumps if you’re a little too quick and the dash display can glare on the windscreen a little at night some times.
