Honda Civic Hatchback (2012 - 2017) 1.6 i-DTEC SE Plus (Nav) 5d Owner Review

Having had a Honda Accord 2.0 SE for the last 6 years of very reliable motoring, I was keen to get another Honda. Unfortunately, due to Honda stopping selling the Accord, due to low sales (why?), the only choice for me for size and practicalities, was to get a Civic. I’d heard a lot about the 1.6 dtec and was keen to get this diesel version, just as everyone is eschewing them! In 40 years of car ownership, I’d only bought one diesel car, a 2005 Audi A3 2.0 tdi, it was simply awful, so unreliable. I had it for just 2 months! Well what can I say? This is perfect, stacks of room, massive, clever boot, loads of toys, looks great, super refined, really well made, squeak free, with great build and 75 mpg....wow. It goes really well, what an engine?! Just get one, you’ll not regret it! Another underrated Honda, fabulous.
