Honda Civic Hatchback (2017 - 2022) Sport 182PS VTEC Turbo auto 5d Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
I decided to trade in my 5 year old BMW 320i as my commute become longer (due to moving to the countryside) and fuel economy become flaky in traffic. I spent a good few months researching and test driving various cars such as the Mercedes A200 and Volvo V40 T4 but they didn’t feel as engaging or fun to drive as my BMW. However after looking online, I found a whole load of online reviews which were very positive about the civic. Therefore, I decided to drive down to my local Honda dealer in and decided to test drive a Civic. Upon starting the car, I was taken aback with digital dash and graphics which made it cool. However, when I decided to give the machine under the bonnet a try I was instantly surprised how similar it was to my old BMW. The smooth steering, instant acceleration and crisp handling surprised me. The styling (spoiler, twin exhaust) makes it look very mean- many friends mistake it for a Type R.
Fuel economy is ok, I need to be a little less harsh on the acceleration but it’s ever so tempting when joining the motorway as it makes a lovely deep sound at 4000 revs in the lower gears.
The negative points is that the boot is a bit small which is a huge shame. This means when it comes to starting a family, I will have to trade it in as there is no way a pram or essentials can be bunged in. Another disappointing thing is the quality of the interior plastics. They feel ever so boring to look at in comparison to the interior quality of an A3/Golf or an A class.
Apart from the negative points, I would highly recommend this car.
