Honda Civic Hatchback (2017 - 2022) Sport Plus 182PS VTEC Turbo 5d Owner Review

My Honda Civic was roughly 14 months old when I bought it. Being a Honda, I expected reliability, but I’m afraid I was wrong. Whilst nothing major went wrong, in the 18 months or so that I had the car, it needed two new batteries, new reverse sensors, a new drivers seat bolster because the old one was squeaking like an old chesterfield, a new air conditioning condenser and a new master slave cylinder for the clutch, and this in a 3 year old car that had done just 24,000 miles. I should say at this point that I have a bus pass and don’t drive like a boy racer!

I’ve now put the car in part exchange for a Toyota, because the warranty on the Honda was running out and was fed up of the little issues that kept appearing. The engine itself was brilliant and it was wonderful to drive, but I’m afraid that all the other issues took the shine off the car.

I have to say to finish, that Honda were absolutely brilliant in sorting out the issues and my review is most certainly no reflection on them. Their customer service was second to none. It was the issues in the car that were the deciding factor in changing it.
